Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Tue, 21 Jul 2015

Interviewed null -1(took 60 days)
Long interview process. Very scenario based questions. Exxon Mobil likes to pick candidates with high academics and a strong experience background. First there is a phone screen, then an in person interview. Spend a day interviewing with a few different people. They usually take you out to lunch as well. Follow-up with a personal message to your interviewers.

Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Wed, 29 Jul 2015

Interviewed May 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA(took 21 days)
Casual, a bit awkward, but an overall good experience. a long process, and testing required. upper management has room for improvement for sure. The ExxonMobil supervisor I interviewed with was incredibly awkward and even told me, she was not a "people person" and didn't think much of conversation. I was like, "huh?" who says that, espically the SUPERVISOR interviewing someone?

Interviewed Jul 2015 in Pensacola, FL(took 360 days)
Pretty basic interview. They probably interviewed at least twenty people for the position, but it seemed they already had a buddy in mind for the job and interviewed other people just so it didn't look obvious. This is a company where you need to know someone to have a shot.

Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Sun, 9 Aug 2015

Interviewed Apr 2015 in Kuala Lumpur(took 14 days)
Applied through EM Malaysia website. In 2 weeks, they called me saying I have been chosen for interview THE NEXT MORNING. Yes, extremely short notice. I took the shot and went for the interview. Basically they will have 4 candidates. It is a 1-on-1 interview with 4 interviewers from HR, Senior, Manager and Group Manager (in rotation). There was no technical questions, just STAR grilling interviews - esp from HR. HR guy will pressure you to the max, makes you uncomfortable but the key is just to stay calm and answer honestly. Other interviewers are sweet and friendly.

Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Fri, 21 Aug 2015

Interviewed Oct 2014 in Los Angeles, CA(took 21 days)
Went to the Society of Women Engineers Conference where I spoke to one of the recruiters during the career fair. Exxon looks for 3 things: previous internship experience, gpa 3.7 and higher, and a unique leadership experience (club president, created a program). once they see those three on your resume and you make a good first impression your chances on getting and interview are higher. I was offered an interview on the spot. Then the interviewer told me I would be notified a week to two weeks later, which I was. I was called by HR for an on phone interview. After just a couple questions I was offered the job on the spot.

The interview began with a phone interview, then progressed to a on-site interview with several one-on-one meetings to assess personality fit, along with a technical presentation. The interview process was largely driven by the interviewee asking questions about the company. The interviewers seemed to place a lot of emphasis on company fit rather than simply technical skill. There were a lot of behavioral type questions, and the employees all seemed to enjoy working with the company.
